2026 Ford
Maverick
The Truck That Changed What Affordable Means. Starting Under $30K, 42 MPG City.
More Truck Than You Expected. Less Gas Than You Thought Possible.
The Ford Maverick launched in 2022 and immediately sold out. That is not a cliche -- Ford could not make enough of them. The reason is simple: it is a genuine pickup truck that starts under $30,000, gets 42 MPG city on the hybrid powertrain, and fits in a parking garage. For a lot of people around Hopkinsville, that is exactly what a truck should be.
It seats five, carries a payload of up to 1,500 lbs, and can tow up to 4,000 lbs with the available 4K Tow Package -- enough for a small trailer, a couple of personal watercraft, or a weekend load of gear headed out to Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park. The FLEXBED cargo system makes the 4.5-foot bed more functional than its size suggests. And the 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on every single trim.
The Maverick is honest about its limitations -- it is not an F-150 and does not pretend to be. But for the buyer who needs a truck more days than an SUV would cover but does not want to pay F-150 prices or F-150 fuel bills, it is a hard argument to refuse.
2026 Maverick Exterior Colors
Nine colors for 2026. Two are new: Marsh Gray replaces Desert Sand, and Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat (borrowed from the Mustang lineup) replaces Eruption Green. Some colors carry extra cost and some are not available on all trims.
Swatches are approximate representations. Extra-cost colors are additional. Lobo trim has a more limited color selection. Contact Pennyrile Ford at 270-886-8131 to confirm availability on specific vehicles.
Hybrid Efficiency or EcoBoost Muscle -- Your Call
The Maverick does not ask you to choose between a truck and a fuel-saver. Either engine makes it a legitimate pickup. The question is whether you want to fill up less often or pull harder.

Small Footprint. Serious Bed.
The Maverick fits in a standard parking space. The bed is 4.5 feet, which sounds modest until you think about what you actually haul -- lumber from the hardware store, a mountain bike, camping gear for a weekend at Pennyrile Forest. Ford designed the FLEXBED system to make that 4.5 feet work harder than the dimensions suggest.
- FLEXBED(TM) with six tie-down points and configurable cargo slots
- Multi-position tailgate -- Step position, Work position, full open
- 12V pre-wired connections in bed
- Available 4K Tow Package: Class III trailer hitch, brake controller, upgraded cooling
- Hybrid models can be flat-towed behind an RV with all four wheels down
- 1,500 lb max payload capacity (select configurations)
- LED projector headlamps with "7"-shaped signature lighting
Five Seats. Genuinely Useful Storage. No Wasted Space.
The Maverick interior is honest and practical. It is not trying to be a luxury truck. What it is: a five-seat crew cab with smart storage, a large touchscreen, and enough room that adults in the back seat are comfortable on the drive out to Land Between the Lakes. Seat materials step up meaningfully through the trim ladder.
- Five-passenger crew cab layout -- standard, no body style options to sort through
- XL: durable cloth seats. XLT: upgraded cloth with available ActiveX
- Lariat: ActiveX-trimmed seats, heated front seats
- Lobo: sport-inspired cockpit with blue and lime accent stitching on ActiveX buckets
- Available power-sliding rear window on XLT, Lobo (new for 2026, late availability)
- Storage bins and cubbies throughout -- oversized water bottle holders standard
- 8-inch digital instrument panel standard; Lariat gets higher-resolution cluster
More Capable Than It Looks. We Mean That Literally.
The Maverick's unibody construction gets criticism in truck circles, but the numbers are real. With the 4K Tow Package and AWD, it tows 4,000 lbs. That is enough for a small travel trailer, a couple of personal watercraft, or a camper headed out toward Lake Barkley. The Tremor trim adds off-road hardware for buyers who want to take it further.
- Up to 4,000 lbs towing with 4K Tow Package (AWD required)
- Up to 1,500 lbs payload -- enough for landscaping materials or job-site loads
- Pro Trailer Backup Assist: steer the trailer with a knob
- Pro Trailer Hitch Assist: backs to the hitch automatically
- Tremor: off-road suspension, electronic-locking rear differential, Trail Control(TM)
- Tremor: 4WD Lock system with torque vectoring between rear wheels
- Available intelligent AWD on hybrid -- new capability added for 2025, carries into 2026
A 13.2-inch Touchscreen. Wireless CarPlay. On the Base Trim.
The XL -- the least expensive Maverick -- comes with a 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. That is not a mistake. That is the standard equipment list.
SYNC 4 with 13.2-inch Touchscreen -- Every Trim
The 13.2-inch capacitive touchscreen is standard across the entire Maverick lineup. The 8-inch digital instrument cluster is standard on XL and XLT. Lariat gets a higher-resolution cluster display with more customization options.

Wireless. Connected. Standard Across the Lineup.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are standard on every Maverick trim. The Ford Connectivity Package -- new as standard equipment for 2026 -- adds an unlimited Wi-Fi hotspot trial and connected services for one year.
- Wireless Apple CarPlay -- standard, all trims
- Wireless Android Auto -- standard, all trims

Lobo Cockpit -- Performance-Inspired Interior
The Lobo trim takes the interior in a distinctly sporty direction. The 7-speed paddle-shift automatic puts gear selection at your fingertips. Blue and lime accent stitching on the ActiveX bucket seats and steering wheel grip make it feel different from any other Maverick inside.
- 7-speed paddle-shift automatic -- Lobo exclusive
- ActiveX-trimmed sport bucket seats with blue and lime accent stitching
- Matching blue and lime stitching on steering wheel grip
- Available 19-inch open-spoke black-painted aluminum wheels
- Lowered suspension from factory

Standard Safety Stack. No Upgrade Required.
Ford Co-Pilot360 technology is standard on every 2026 Maverick. Whether you are navigating Fort Campbell Boulevard or cruising US-68 out toward Cadiz, these systems work in the background without asking anything of you.
